The Korea DME Association (Presidentn Won-jun Cho) held a forum to strengthen cooperation in manufacturing, production, sales, distribution, and technology development of DME in the Asia-Pacific region.

The DME Association said it held the Asia-Pacific DME Forum 2022 for two days from October 27 to 28.

The Asia-Pacific DME Forum 2022 was attended by Won-jun Cho, president of the DME Association, Kyunghwa Jung, Chungcheongbuk-do Energy New Industry Team, and officials from Asia-Pacific countries such as Indonesia, India, Japan, and the United States, and announced DME projects in each region.

In particular, regarding the domestic DME market, Cho Won-joon, chairman of the DME Association, presented the domestic rDME business and the LPG-rDME market.

"With the recent reduction of greenhouse gas and achievement of carbon neutrality, the energy fuel business that manufactures rDME based on CO₂ and mixes it with LPG is emerging," said Cho Won-joon, chairman of the DME Association. "The DME Association will continue to hold low-carbon fuel-themed forums in Asia and the Pacific region."

Kyunghwa Jung "Chungcheongbuk-do has started producing blue methanol, rDME, and blue hydrogen in 2019 to respond to global climate change and implement carbon-neutral goals," said Kim, head of the Chungbuk New Energy Industry Team.

Meanwhile, participants had a tour of the Boeun DME plant in Chungbuk, Biophrans after the Asia-Pacific DME Forum 2022.
